VANDALIA, OH - Ledex introduces the C5 series miniature open frame linear solenoids. Approximately 20mm x 10mm x 12 mm, the C5 family is one of the smallest solenoids introduced to date by Saia-Burgess Inc. Available configurations include magnetic latching rated for forces up to 3 pounds, or a standard on/off version rated for use with forces in excess of 3.5 pounds. Due to its small size and low power consumption, the C5 is ideally suited for battery-operated applications. The magnetic latching version is designed for very low duty cycle applications where the solenoid needs to remain in the energized position for extended periods of time.
